Hydrogen Fluoride

One of the speciality gases that we supply here at CRR Limited is hydrogen fluoride. This useful gas is a compound consisting of hydrogen and fluorine atoms, with the chemical formula HF. In solution with water, this gas forms hydrofluoric acid, which also has wide use in industry. Some of the main industrial uses for hydrogen chloride are as a feedstock in the process of producing polymers, and extensive uses in the pharmaceutical industry. 

Hydrogen fluoride is a colourless compound which is highly toxic, and can be supplied as a gas or liquid. Despite its ability to cause chemical burns on skin, it causes virtually no damage when applied to glass and metal surfaces. Furthermore, hydrogen fluoride is fully miscible in water, meaning it forms a homogenous mixture when mixed in any proportions.
