Hydrogen Chloride
Hydrogen chloride is a compound consisting of an atom of hydrogen alongside an atom of chlorine, joined by a covalent single bond. When stored at room temperature it is colourless, but forms white vapour clouds of hydrochloric acid when exposed to water vapour. It is a non-combustible, highly corrosive, and pungently smelling substance, also known as HCl.
Hydrogen chloride and the associated substance, hydrochloric acid, have a wide range of applications in industry, manufacturing, and technology; the experts here at CRR Limited have a wealth of experience in working with this substance and many other speciality gases. We offer a professional service in partnership with Hornung and Gerling Holz, covering your speciality gas and gas equipment needs.
CRR Limited for Your Hydrogen Chloride Needs
Hydrogen chloride has a diverse range of applications in industrial, commercial, and scientific settings. For example, it is very commonly used in rubber production industries, where it is used in the hydrochlorination of rubber. Furthermore, it is used in the production of other plastics such as vinyl, and can be used to create alkyl chlorides.
Hydrogen chloride is a semiconductor, meaning it can be very useful as a component in electrical systems. Systems which depend heavily on semiconductors can include microprocessor chips, equipment which uses radio waves, and many other technological products.
